Style. Fashion. Travel. Events. Life.

Urbane At Large is an assorted account of many things that impact our life — style, travel, social activism and the pursuit of greatness. It is the editorial affiliate of URBANE, a lifestyle brand that retails men's and women's accessories, leather goods and women's ready-to-wear.

The company’s founder, Carlisha Hartzog, is a branding consultant with a career background in the financial, marketing and fashion industries, and the managing member of Hartzog Consulting. Hartzog spent nine years of her career in leadership and management positions for various financial institutions in the United States, focusing on the consumer and commercial banking needs of her portfolio, managing portfolios in excess of $20 million. Hartzog graduated Magna Cum Laude and received a Bachelors of Science degree from the University of Alabama with a major in Fashion Merchandising and minors in Business, Marketing and Spanish. She completed her Masters of Business Administration at the University of South Alabama in May 2012.

While living in Europe and the Northeastern United States, Hartzog has always been intrigued and influenced by the diversity and impact of brand power. Utilizing the knowledge that she received from her education and experience, she has offered sales and merchandising services to retail boutiques and stores such as Victoria’s Secret, New York & Company, and BCBG Max Azria within the Southeastern United States. Hartzog also successfully completed an internship at the BCBG Max Azria corporate showroom in New York in 2006, which further enhanced her branding and consulting skills. An avid traveler and fashion correspondent, Hartzog has been accredited by the British Fashion Council as an International Blogger, and covered runway shows during London Fashion Week in 2012. The company has worked with organizations such as the corporate office of Alabama Power, Franklin Primary Health Center Inc., Spring Hill College of Mobile, Bishop State Community College, the Senior Bowl, and Distinguished Young Women of America (formerly Junior Miss) to offer project management, branding and styling services. She has also offered public relations, strategy and social media services for firms such as the USA Mitchell Cancer Institute and MAAS Aviation.

Projects have included branding campaigns to strengthen corporate images, public relations and marketing services, project management, runway show coordination, and strategy consulting. The ability to tactfully manage a process, ensure that timelines are adhered to, and that deadlines are met, are the key tools that make Hartzog successful.
